Burn care education – all areas.

 

Previous Visits

Sept 2018 – lead by Manchester team (Zeeshan Sheikh (plastic surgeon), Nadeem Khwaja (plastic surgeon), Winston de Mello (anaesthetic and pain consultant, Rachel Johnson (physiotherapist, Liverpool), Wee Lam (plastic surgeon, Edinburgh)) – ran a comprehensive 3-day Burns Course. The course programme was organised with the help of Interburns. The course was held at the National Trauma Centre, which is the main hospital in Abuja

Oct 2015 – 1st Nigerian-led burns course in Abuja in October 2015 led by St Andrews, Chelmsford team (Mr Naguib El-Muttardi and Mr David Barnes), in collaboration with the Nigerian Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, the Nigerian Burn Injury Society and BFIRST

Future Plans

Continue supporting the Nigerian Burns teams with education activities.
