London to Brighton Bike Ride 2024

Take on the popular 55 mile London to Brighton Cycle for BFIRST!

15 September 2024

The London to Brighton Cycle ride is the UK's largest multi-charity cycle event. Starting in London and finishing on the scenic Brighton Seafront, this 55 mile cycle ride is perfect for solo first-time bike riders and velo-enthusiasts alike.

The route

The ride will start from Clapham Common, off Nightingale Walk, Clapham SW4 9AH. There will be a staggered start between 06:00-10:30. Participants will be emailed their allocated start time a few weeks before the event.

Once out of London you will predominantly cycle along quiet lanes passing through Mitcham, Carshalton, Chipstead, Banstead and Haywards Heath before taking on the challenge that is Ditchling Beacon - a mile long climb to the top of the South Downs where you will be rewarded with amazing views and a water break! From there it's downhill for the last few miles onto Brighton sea front.
